About Amy

I am very grateful to spend my days in therapeutic conversations with courageous people who are reflectively navigating life transitions, mental and physical illness experiences, and the many complexities of life and relationships. I believe that our relationships to self and others is what matters most in life. I nurture a desire to facilitate healing in relationships through work with individuals and couples. Many couples do not inherently know how to be healthily committed despite societal expectations that we should somehow “just know” how to happily be in long-term and committed relationships. Love and relationships are journeys full of ups and downs and twists and turns and I believe all relationships can benefit from some support and guidance along the way. It is my hope that the individuals and couples who I am privileged to work with will experience renewed intimate and committed relationships of the highest quality.

I especially enjoy working with individuals and couples during the transition to parenthood and family life. Pregnancy, postpartum, new motherhood, and new fatherhood are some of our most precious, yet challenging life experiences. Vulnerability is an inherent part of the perinatal experience due to the immersion in reflection and growth. It takes a lot of strength to seek professional support. I hope that the women and men who I am honoured to work with during the transition to parenthood will experience self-compassion, symptom reduction, and meaning-making so as to enhance personal resources required for healthy self and baby-care.

If you are considering making some changes in your life – to feel better or work through some difficult issues, please reach out. I am here to listen to your story and support you to start living a life you truly enjoy.
