My therapy sessions are designed to help you feel seen, heard and understood, while also striving to help you to better understand your personal struggles and provide you with effective tools toward helping you live a life with more ease.

According to the American Psychological Association, “Psychologists help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives.” Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, I strive to help you to do just that by helping you to discover your strengths, understand your patterns and explore  life-enhancing habits  and patterns to cope with many of life’s obstacles.

I have over 26 years of experience supporting children, teens and adults in various community, health and rehabilitation agencies, as well as school-based settings. My approach to therapy is eclectic in an effort to explore your concerns and provide you with effective strategies to see your areas of strength.  I use a variety of therapeutic orientations including Internal Family Systems Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Biofeedback (Heart Math & Tomatis)  I have a special interest in exploring how the brain is wired in an effort to optimize your mental health, learn how to understand your patterns of behaviour and improve the quality of your relationships.

I can appreciate how making the decision to begin therapy can often feel intimidating and overwhelming, I make every effort to provide a warm, safe and supportive environment so you can feel comfortable collaborating with me to explore your therapeutic goals. I utilize an integrative and culturally sensitive approach in order to adapt to your unique needs and dynamics. Noteworthy is that I am bilingual and fluent in both English and Cantonese while also having familiarity with speaking Vietnamese at a beginner level.

You can expect a supportive and understanding relationship with me, as I strive to create an environment of empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard so you may feel safe to grow and flourish.
